Alexander Ashworth

The practice was founded in 2005 by Alexander Ashworth, a designer and architectural historian with decades of experience of advising private, professional and public clients on historic buildings and their collections.
Alex read Architectural History at Oxford University as a postgraduate following a degree in English Literature from London University, and a three-year diploma in Art and Design at London Metropolitan University.
He has a particular interest in the hall house and its evolution, and in the architecture of James Gibbs and Sir Edwin Lutyens. Alex is an associate member of the Institute of Historic Buildings Conservation, a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers, and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts.
